A very small team of us designers had the privilege of working on the initial creative strategy for the upcoming Xbox Remix controller. When we joined the project much of the direction was up in the air so we started with research into sustainable packaging, and what other brands were doing to achieve more sustainability in packaging while not sacrificing design. The following is a collection of concepts over multiple rounds.
